The AC Integration Center achieves ISO perfection. For the third consecutive year, Avnet Applied Computing's (AC) Harbour Drive facility achieved full compliance during its business quality standards audit.
Auditor Herman Ries of the RWTUV testing and certification company notes that AC has "set the bar" for incorporating the requirements of the ISO 9001:2000 management standard into business processes and calls AC "difficult to audit" since its quality system is embedded in everything the team does. He is also impressed that the team took the input from its last audit and implemented changes to continually improve its quality management system when no follow-up is required.
"Exceeding the ISO 9001:2000 standard in our global headquarters is a significant competitive advantage in the marketplace for AC," confirms Jayne Lisman Sauerwein, QMS/ISO program manager for AC.
