September 12, 2010 - Avnet Technology Solutions Wins Stevie Award for Integrating and Testing Netezza Appliances

Tempe, Ariz. -- Although Avnet receives many industry awards each year, few are bestowed without submitting an application. Yet Avnet Technology Solutions (TS) Americas managed just that recently, winning a Stevie Award.

The Stevie Award, part of the American Business Awards, honors the achievements and positive contributions of organizations and business people worldwide. Avnet received the Netezza Valued Partner Award for integrating and testing Netezza's TwinFin data warehousing appliances.

John Gannon, strategic sourcing manager at Netezza, accepted the award on Avnet's behalf and Tom Johnson, director of operations at Netezza, will present the award to TS at the next quarterly business review.
