July 23, 2009 - Enics names Avnet Electronics Marketing EMEA as Distribution Partner of the Year

Distribution group performs with execution power, global footprint and local support

Munich -- Zurich, Switzerland-based Enics AG, a world leading electronic manufacturing services (EMS) company, has named Avnet Electronics Marketing EMEA as its Distributor of the Year. At the Enics Fair “Success through Innovation 09” in Helsinki, Enics acknowledged Avnet Electronics Marketing EMEA and its business units -- EBV Elektronik, Silica, Avnet Memec and Avnet Abacus (the former Avnet Time) -- as outstanding contributors to its own successful expansion and manufacturing strategy.

Rejo Itkonen, President and CEO of Enics AG and Petri Helin, Senior Vice President APAC and Global Sourcing, handed over the award to Harold Feather, Director of Corporate Account Management of Avnet Electronics Marketing EMEA, and Sharon Kielty-White, Avnet Electronics Marketing EMEA’s Corporate Account Manager for Enics.

Rejo Itkonen praised Avnet: “We have worked closely with Avnet and its business units for many years. Avnet’s global footprint has helped us a lot in driving our own expansion. At the same time, the local support in EMEA, which is in close proximity to our manufacturing locations, has been excellent and has supported our local sourcing and manufacturing strategy.
