June 12, 2009 - Avnet's Steve Philips Included in List of Top 50 Global CIOs

2009 InformationWeekGlobal CIO 50 recognizes IT leaders driving business growth

Phoenix, Ariz. -- Avnet, Inc. (NYSE:AVT), a global technology distributor, has announced that Steve Philips, Chief Information Officer at Avnet, has been named to the 2009 Global CIO 50, InformationWeek's annual list of the world's most innovative and talented business technology leaders.

Philips was recognized for leading a three-year transformation of Avnet's IT structure to support the company's rapid global expansion.
