Latest awards bring her two-year total to 15
Phoenix, Ariz. -- Avnet, Inc. today announced Tammy Schultz, senior producer at its Corporate Broadcast Center, won a Golden Reel and three Telly Awards, bringing her total number of awards received in the last two years to 15, including being named Producer of the Year by AV Video Multimedia Producer Magazine.
Schultz, a Tempe resident who has worked at Avnet for four years, oversees global video production for Avnet, producing informative and entertaining videos for the company and its divisions as well as its community relations projects.
“Tammy is one of the most talented video producers in Arizona, if not the United States,” said Al Maag, chief communications officer at Avnet. “Her award shelf is getting crowded, and Avnet believes more will follow as her outstanding work receives the recognition it deserves. We are very proud of her and grateful to have her on our team.”
The only Arizona member of the Media Communications Association-International to win a Golden Reel, Schultz won in the Internal Communication category for an opening video she created for an Avnet division sales conference. Her videos for St. Mary’s Food Bank and A Stepping Stone Foundation – where Avnet donated production time and costs – were finalists in the External Communications category.
The Silver Telly Award is the first Schultz has won, though she was a finalist in three categories the previous year. She won in the Miscellaneous category for the “VIP Animation” video, and was also a finalist in the Employee Communication category for the “Delivering Value” video as well as in the Sales category for the “Focus on Fundamentals” video.
Among other awards Schultz won recently are three Videographer Awards, including an Award of Excellence for the “Focus on Fundamentals” video, as well as Awards of Distinction for the St. Mary’s Food Bank and A Stepping Stone Foundation videos.
